Information Communications Technology (ICT)

Information Communications Technology (ICT) Services is a business support unit of the Archdiocese of Hobart.

ICT Services provide a range of information technology support, including: an ICT helpdesk, training and support for staff; advice on system, hardware and software purchases; network security; server upgrades; email and intranet maintenance and support; the design and installation of new systems; and the project management of major capital purchases and ICT infrastructure programs.

Located at the Catholic Diocesan Centre in New Town, the unit provides services on a state-wide basis, including to the Church Office, CatholicCare Tasmania, parishes and the southern region of the St Vincent de Paul Society.

An ICT steering committee comprised of senior management is tasked with reviewing and approving major software purchases, or infrastructure developments affecting the Archdiocese of Hobart and its agencies.
