Evangelisation Resources
“Sycamore” is an informal course about the Christian faith and its relevance for life today. It gives you space to meet people and share ideas. It is used as an initial stage of evangelisation to reach out to inactive Catholics, those with no faith (“the nones”), and those who are searching for more. Each session involves a short film and time for discussion.
“ChristLife”: The ChristLife evangelisation process is a proven method of igniting the new evangelization by providing a relational context to begin to make missionary disciples at the parish level. ChristLife helps parishes make missionary disciples by helping people discover Jesus Christ personally, follow Him in their daily lives as Catholic disciples, and share Him with others. There are three series: “Discovering Christ” invites every person, baptized or unbaptized, to encounter the love of God the Father, enter into or renew a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live as God’s children. “Following Christ” inspires people who have encountered Christ to grow in their relationship with Him and to learn the disciplines and truths of the Christian life. Finally, “Sharing Christ” equips Catholics with practical skills to proclaim the Gospel through friendship evangelization, draw others into a personal relationship with Jesus, and invite them to become His disciples as members of the Church.
“The Search”: What is this journey in between the event we call “birth” and the one we call “death”? Is the journey taking you somewhere, or are you leading yourself to some kind of destination – a destination that could extend beyond your last breath? What do you want from your life during the in between? The questions are there. And, the answers are too. The Search is a 7-session video series, produced by the Augustine Institute, presenting the gospel kerygma to modern audiences. The program can be facilitated within a group discussion forum. “Alpha in the Catholic Context.” Alpha is an 11-week course that creates a space, online or in person, where people are excited to bring their friends for a conversation about Jesus.
