Governance Risk & Compliance
The Roman Catholic Church Trust Corporation of the Archdiocese of Hobart (‘The Trust’) is an incorporated entity under the Corporations Act, 2001. The Trust is the employer and as such is obligated to ensure that all workers, including volunteers, adhere to external legislative requirements and internal organisational policies and procedures.
The Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) unit supports the development and management of governance documents including polices, plans, procedures, guidelines and frameworks. These help the Trust to identify, meet and appropriately manage its compliance obligations. The office also facilitates cooperation between Trust agencies through mechanisms including GRC management committee forums.
The GRC office supports the Trust to manage its risks, incidents and hazards through its software platform, plans, registers and contemporary practices, including appropriate and ongoing management of business continuity. The office provides GRC consulting, advice and training, employing a holistic management approach.
