Blessing for new presbytery at St Helens

Last month Archbishop Julian visited the East Coast Parish of St Marys, where he blessed the newly constructed presbytery at the church of St Helena and St Stanislaus in St Helens.

The construction of the new presbytery was undertaken by Centacare Evolve Housing.

During the celebration of Mass, Archbishop Julian conferred the sacrament of Confirmation on three adults, two of whom were an engaged couple preparing for marriage.

On 5 March next year, the church of St Helen and St Stanislaus will be 100 years old, and the Parish of St Marys have celebrations planned for the occasion.
