Invitation to submit feedback on Plenary Council document

My brothers and sisters in Christ,

The Fifth Plenary Council of the Catholic Church in Australia will commence in Sydney on Monday, 4 July and continue for one week.

Recently the working document for the Sessions, entitled “Framework for Motions”, has been made public. This document is the fruit of the extensive consultation process and the deliberations from the First Assembly held last year.

The Archdiocese of Hobart will be represented by four people: the Archbishop, the Vicar General, Dr Rachel Bradley and Daniel de la Motte.

We would like to offer the Catholic Community the opportunity to offer their own thoughts on the Framework document. Thus, it is available on this website and provision has been made for comments to be received. All the comments will be given to the four representatives prior to attending the Plenary Council.

Comments will need to be sent prior to Friday, 1 July.

Please continue to pray for the Plenary Council, that all participating will be guided by the Holy Spirit and the outcomes will be for the good of the Church and the advancement of the Gospel in Australia.

Yours in Christ,

Archbishop Julian Porteous
