Easter Mass Services
The Archdiocese of Hobart warmly welcomes you to its Easter Mass services for 2021.
Catholic churches across Tasmania are open and ready to safely welcome parishioners and interstate visitors who wish to attend Holy Week services.
Please be aware that Catholic churches are operating within government-mandated COVID-19 guidelines. The total number of people allowable at each church must equal 75% of capacity, or 250 people – whichever is the smaller number.
If you are feeling unwell, please consider the well-being of others and stay home. You can watch the live streaming of Holy Week services on the Archdiocese of Hobart’s YouTube channel.
To ensure the continued safety of our communities and visitors the Catholic Church in Tasmania has established an online booking system for those who wish to attend Easter services.
This free booking system is available for many of the Catholic parishes in Tasmania. A booking is required for each person attending a Holy Week service to ensure seating availability, and if required, details to assist with contact tracing.
If your preferred church service is fully booked, please try the nearest church or neighbouring parish:
Bellerive – Lindisfarne Parish
Central Tasmania Parish
Circular Head Parish
Flinders Island
George Town Parish
King Island Parish
St Marys Parish
Please remember to bring your ticket(s), printed out or on your phone, with you when attending Mass.
In addition to the booking system, Catholic churches in Tasmania adhere to physical distancing guidelines; offer hand sanitiser stations, and conduct regular cleaning following Mass.
Join us as we celebrate our relationship with the One who is risen. Easter is a testament to the victory of love, to the triumph of Christ’s sacrifice and to restoration.
