Christmas Card Angel Heralds from St Brigid’s

With a beautifully illustrated picture of a shining star, Stephanie from St Brigid’s Catholic School Wynyard has won the annual Tasmanian Catholic Education Office (TCEO) Christmas card competition.

Each year the TCEO runs a competition for students in Tasmanian Catholic schools and colleges to design the featured image for bespoke Christmas cards. Stephanie’s delightful illustration was selected from hundreds of entries and will feature on Christmas cards that are distributed throughout Australia.

St Brigid’s Catholic School Principal Ms Annette McCulloch spoke proudly of Stephanie’s achievement:

"The St Brigid's Catholic School Community in Wynyard is very proud of our Grade 6 student Stephanie who has won the 2016 TCEO Christmas Card competition. This competition is a great opportunity for students to engage with the true meaning of Christmas and Stephanie's design has captured this beautifully."

Launched in 2010, the competition welcomed entries from across Tasmania, and this is the second time that a student from St Brigid’s Catholic School Wynyard has won.

“It is an honour for our school to win this competition for the second time in the competition's seven year history,” Ms McCulloch said.

Stephanie will receive a framed copy of her artwork, a set of the printed cards, and a gift card to honour her win.
