Operations commenced in 1893 as BayView Laundry. This service was developed by the Sisters of The Good Shepherd to provide employment for disadvantaged women and girls. Since then the laundry has become fully commercial and competitive while continuing to offer employment, training and personal development to disadvantaged people in the community.

After relocating to new modern premises in New Town, and a change of name to BlueLine Laundry, the business expanded and took on a specialised training and a specialised employment division. BlueLine became a nationally accredited training provider to the commercial laundry industry.

BlueLine has recently invested in state of the art computer and high tech equipment to streamline production and to ensure the highest quality of service to clients.

After 115 years of service to the Hobart community, BlueLine Laundry is looking forward to the future and continuous improvement in customer service and quality of products.
