Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the second Person of the Blessed Trinity, God the Son, who became human and dwelt among us. Jesus Christ is truly human and truly divine. In the first century A.D. he was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. After a period of preaching, teaching, and healing the sick in and around Palestine, the Jewish leaders delivered Jesus to the Roman authorities who crucified and buried him. After three days, Jesus Christ rose from the dead, appeared to many of his disciples, and ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God the Father. Jesus Christ is the Lord God who will come again to judge the living and the dead (see the Apostles Creed).
