Ms Miller has been employed as the Financial Controller of the Archdiocese since July 2003.

She was educated at Sacred Heart College, New Town and completed an honours degree in Economics at the University of Tasmania. She has worked at the Australian Taxation Office, as a consultant to a chartered accountant and as a lecturer at the University of Tasmania.

Ms Miller has also spent seven years on the national council of Caritas Australia.
Ms Miller has four sons, all educated at St Virgil’s College : Nicholas, an accountant, Bede, an agronomist, George, a doctor and Dominic, a student pharmacist.
