Peter was educated at St.Cuthberts School and St.Virgils College. He completed a B.Comm in 1982 at UTAS majoring in accounting.

He commenced employment with the State Public Service in the Agricultural Bank and resigned from the position of accountant, State Treasury, in 1985 to take up the role of Archdiocesan Accountant.

Peter is currently Chairman of the Blueline Laundry Board and past Chairman of Mary’s Grange and St.Cuthberts School Boards.

Peter is married to Margaret and they had four children, two boys, educated at St.Cuthberts and St.Virgils and two girls educated at St.Cuthberts and St.Mary’s.

They have four grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
